Advisory Services
Are you looking for a good mystery to read or the latest best seller?
Visit NPLD's Adult Fiction Department. The Adult Fiction Department
offers adults a collection of recreational reading materials as well
as a variety of programs that promote reading.
Patrons in search of a good book to read can ask the Adult Fiction
staff for assistance. Bibliographies and recommended reading lists in
various genres are available throughout the department.

Reader's
Advisory Collection
Located on the lower level of the Library, Reader's Advisory houses the Library's fiction collection. The collection includes romance, historical fiction, horror, science fiction, fantasy, western, foreign language fiction, crime fiction, classics, best sellers, graphic novels and large type books. Computer terminals provide easy access to the Library's catalog as well as online resources for fiction readers.
Programs
The Adult Fiction Department provides a variety of adult programs
including book discussions and author visits. Adults can also have fun
and earn prizes by participating in the adult reading club held each
summer. Current adult programs and book discussions can be found in
the Library's newsletters.
Adult
Book Discussion
The Adult Fiction Department offers two adult book discussion groups.
The Afternoon Book Discussion and the Evening Book Discussion meet each
month. The afternoon book discussion group meets on the 3rd Wednesday
of every month at 1 pm in the Board Room. The evening book discussion
meets on the 4th Monday of every month at 7 pm in the Board Room.
