In observance of the 70th anniversary of the heroic 63-day Warsaw Uprising during World War II, the library screens the 1957 award-winning Polish film, directed by Andrzej Wajda and shown with English subtitles. Niles high school teacher Tom Rajewski Herman introduces the film and leads the post-film discussion.

Every other month we will have a discussion on two cookbooks.
Choose a recipe from one of the two books selected, make the recipe and bring the completed dish to the discussion. The night of the discussion we will sample all the dishes and discuss the recipes and the overall book. Participants must bring a dish to participate.
