8th Annual Low Vision Fair - East Wing Glenview Senior Center

The Niles Library along with seven other area libraries is hosting a Low Vision Fair at the East Wing Glenview Senior Center located at 2400 Chestnut Avenue in Glenview. This fair offers practical information for people with low vision. Speaker, Dr. Frank LaFranco, will present "Current and Future Treatments of Macular Degeneration" from Noon until 1:00 pm. Exhibits are open from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. This event is FREE and requires NO REGISTRATION.

Counselers from the Chicago Chapter of SCORE® will be at the Library to advise small business owners and start-ups with planning, marketing or financial solutions.

Dr. Prodromos Talks About Medical Alternatives to Joint Replacement

Prodromos, from Illinois Sportsmedicine & Orthopaedic Center in Glenview, will talk about PRP and Stem Cell Injections as an alternative to joint replacement and for the treatment of sports injuries. Citizens Utility Board: Phone Bill Clinic

CUB staff will review home landline and cell telephone bills and recommend ways to cut costs. On average, folks save $200 per year by making simple changes. You may bring a cell phone bill but more specific advice will be given for a landline. CUB will review one bill per adult. First come, first served. You will be given a number at arrival; be prepared to wait your turn. Registration recommended. Drop-in between 10am and 2 pm. CUB has capped this event at 60 people.
