Citizenship Class

Prepare for the citizenship examination with instruction in U.S. history and government. Register at first class on Jan. 4. Call Diana Allen, Oakton Community College, at 847-376-7683, with questions.
Classes on 1/25 and 2/22 will be held in Lower Level meeting room.

Adult Computer Beginner Boot Camp

Adult Beginner Boot Camp is a 3 week training session. We meet one day a week for 3 consecutive sessions. Learn to use the mouse, keyboard, and begin searching the internet. Registering for the first session reserves your seat for all 3 sessions. There is no individual session registration. Seats limited to 12.

Bubble & Squawk Cookbook Discussion

Ever wonder if a cookbook is right for you? Every other month we will have a discussion on a cookbook. Choose a recipe from a book selected, make the recipe and bring the completed dish to the discussion. The night of the discussion we will sample the dishes and discuss the recipes and the book. Participants must bring a dish to participate. Copies will be available at the 3rd floor Adult Services desk.This month we are doing Semi-Homemade Comfort Food by Sandra Lee.

Join Al Popowits, a retired history and geography teacher, for a slide program and Q & A about the enigma of Turkey, a nation of contrasts…geographic, political, and religious. Turkey is both modern and medieval. Westerners will find Turkey an exotic place to visit. This country has much to offer even the most seasoned traveler.
