Engrave a Poem

Celebrate National Poetry Month by learning to create a file for engraving a handwritten verse on bamboo. Poems/verses should be no more than 14 lines of copy and fit within an area no larger than 6 x 10 inches. Think haiku, sonnets or couplets.

Adult Beginners Sewing Class

During this 3-part class, you will learn basic sewing skills to make an apron using a pattern.
May 4: Part 1 Basic Sewing. Learn to safely operate a sewing machine, thread a needle, wind a bobbin, and basic seams.
May 11: Part 2 Basic Sewing. Learn how to read and cut a pattern as well as how to choose fabric for your projects.
May 18: Part 3 Basic Sewing. Finish project. Learn how to follow a pattern and sew apron together.
