The Friends meet at the Niles Public Library in the Board Room or Meeting Room every second Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m.
The Friends recognize that not everyone who joins the Friends is able to attend meetings. Some are interested in supporting the library through their membership dues, other contributions or volunteer service.

Here are just a few of the ways the Friends have provided for the Niles Public Library:
- Provided monetary gifts used to purchase new materials for all areas of the Library
- Provided funding for numerous Library programs and events
- Purchased book bags used to deliver books to homebound patrons
- Worked with staff as volunteers on major projects
