Homebound Delivery
The Niles Public Library offers homebound delivery service for cardholders who are unable to come to the library because of a short or long term disability or health problem. Outreach staff will assist you with your choice of library materials and visit you on a two week delivery schedule. Call the Outreach Department at 847-663-6643 to arrange for service

Notary Public
The Library has several staff members licensed as Notary Publics.

Sunday 1-5
You may wish to call the Library to confirm that a Notary is available during evenings and weekends.

Personalized Movie and Fiction consultations
Ever been at a loss for the next book to read? Ever wanted to watch a movie but weren’t sure what you wanted? Now you can schedule a one-on-one appointment with librarian who will help you find what book might be right for you or what movie might strike your fancy. Just give us a little info and we will try our best to find the best pick…personalized for you! For Fiction books, contact Greta at 837-663-6617 or gulrich@nileslibrary.org. Patron Computer Resources
Use our ST-Imaging system to create high resolution digital copies of important documents, photographs, slides and negatives. Save your images as PDF, JPEG, PNG or TIFF files. Use to OCR your text documents. Transfer images to a USB thumb drive, upload them to an online account or send them by email. Make black and white and color prints of up to 8.5 x 14 inches using our equipment. View, digitize, save and print articles from our microfilm collection of magazines and newspapers including the Chicago Tribune and Wall Street Journal. Come to the reference desk to sign up for the scanner. Reference librarians can help you get started and answer questions.

Van Delivery to Schools
School Loans
The Niles Library offers delivery service to its area schools, preschools, and daycares. Teachers may request the Youth Services staff to pull books and other items for classroom use. Requested materials are usually delivered on Fridays, so requests must be made by 1pm Wednesday by calling the Library at 847-663-6622 or by email .
