New Libraries Added to our Consortium!

We’re excited to announce that Mount Prospect Public Library and Waukegan Public Library are joining our library consortium!

What does this mean for you?

From September 28 to September 30, account access and catalog searches will be limited as we add items from these libraries to our network. Once complete, you’ll have access to 550,000 new materials, bringing the total to over 7 million items across 31 libraries.

During this time, you can still:

  • Use the library in person, including computers
  • Check out materials using the self-check machines
  • Pick up holds placed before the maintenance
  • Download e-books and e-audiobooks
  • Sign up for a library card at the Patron Services Desk

Services that will be limited:

  • Searching the catalog
  • Accessing your account online will not be available
  • Updating account information
  • Using your digital library card (some of our electronic resources may be impacted)
  • E-receipts for any checkouts will be postponed until we are back online and physical receipts will only have the barcode information
  • Placing holds online (call or visit the library to request holds)
  • Paying fines and fees
  • No items will be checked in during this time frame, however, no items will be overdue

Once maintenance is complete on October 1, you’ll enjoy access to even more resources across the entire network, including Mount Prospect and Waukegan Libraries.

If you have any questions, please call us at (847) 663-1234.
