National Library Week, happening April 6–12, is a time to celebrate the many ways libraries bring people together, spark imagination, and support lifelong learning—and we have a lot to celebrate here at the Niles-Maine District Library.
Whether you’re launching a business, raising a family, embracing retirement, or just looking for a quiet place to work or read, the library has something for everyone. From free Wi-Fi, digital collections, and career workshops to STEAM programs, makerspace access, and engaging events, we’re here to support you at every stage.
We’re currently developing a new strategic plan to shape the future of our library, and we want your input. What is drawing you to the library now, or, what would bring you in going forward? By filling out our Community Survey (open through April 30), you can help guide our priorities and share what matters most to you.
Stop by the library to complete the survey in person, grab a treat, and meet with our Library Director and Trustees to share your ideas.
We’re proud to share that three members of our team have been nominated for community awards at the Niles Chamber of Commerce’s Night of Roses Gala. Their service, dedication, and creativity continue to make the library a welcoming and innovative space for all.
This National Library Week, we invite you to reconnect with your library and explore all the ways it brings our community together. Whether you’re visiting for resources, inspiration, or connection, the Niles-Maine District Library is here for you.
