Cybersecurity Awareness Month 2024
Founded in 2004, Cybersecurity Awareness Month, held each October, is the world’s foremost initiative aimed at promoting cybersecurity awareness and best practices.At the Niles-Maine District Library, we are dedicated to helping our community stay safe online. In today’s connected world, cybersecurity is more important than ever. From phishing emails to password protection, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by the challenges that come with protecting your personal information. That’s why this year’s theme, Secure Our World, focuses on four key behaviors that can keep you safe: enabling multi-factor authentication,, using strong passwords, recognizing and reporting phishing, and updating software.
Cybersecurity Awareness Month continues to build momentum and impact with the goal of providing everyone with the information they need to stay safe and more secure online. Niles-Maine District Library is proud to support this critically important online safety awareness and education initiative, led by the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency and the National Cybersecurity Alliance. How to enter:
- Pick up and complete a bingo, puzzle, crossword, or word search activity.
- Bring your completed activity sheet to the Technology Desk to receive a raffle ticket
- Submit your raffle ticket into the ballot box for a chance to win.
