The Future Starts Here

At the Niles-Maine District Library, we believe in growing and evolving with our community. That’s why we’ve partnered with Fast Forward Libraries to develop a strategic plan—a roadmap to ensure we continue providing the best possible services, resources, and experiences.
This process includes three key phases:

• Learn – Understand community needs and challenges.
• Dream – Imagine what the future of the library could look like.
• Do – Put the vision into action.

We are currently in our Learn phase, where we’re listening to our community, gathering data, and exploring what matters most to our patrons. This is the first step in a journey to create a library that meets both today’s and tomorrow’s needs.

Participate in a Focus Group

You’re invited to participate in a focus group as part of Niles-Maine District Library’s strategic planning process. This will be a virtual focus group with library consultant, Cindy Fesemyer facilitating. In the focus group you can expect to talk about:

• Your aspirations for your community
• The challenges you face in reaching those aspirations
• What needs to change in the community to reach those aspirations

Please register for ONE virtual focus group that works best for you:

• Wednesday, June 11: 5:30 – 6:30 PM     REGISTER
• Thursday, June 26: 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM     REGISTER
• Thursday, June 26: 7:00 – 8:00 PM     REGISTER

You will receive the Zoom meeting link in the confirmation email that follows successful registration.

VIRTUAL MEETING REQUIREMENTS: You’ll need a device with a microphone and, ideally, a camera. Your phone, tablet or laptop should have these built right in. Please ask at the library if you need assistance with the technology.
