Veterans History Project

The Niles-Maine District Library, in partnership with the Library of Congress, has established a local Veterans History Project Collection to recognize and record the contributions of our nation’s veterans. These primary documents provide individual accounts of service memoirs during World War II, the Korean War and aftermath, and the Vietnam War. Provided on the left are Adobe Portable Document Format files of the transcripts and Streaming Audio files of the interviews. In some instances additional print and media may only be available at the Library.

Listen to more than 60 interviews of local veterans or read the transcripts online here.
