Policy 3.07 Maintaining the Collection

The same criteria will be used when removing materials from the collection as are used in their acquisition. The decision to withdraw Library material shall be based on:

1. Accuracy of the contents;
2. Community interest;
3. Physical condition;
4. Availability of the title for reorder;
5. Cost of mending vs. the cost of replacement; and
6. Number of duplicate copies in the collection.
