Policy 3.10 Slatwall Displays, Posters, and Handouts
- The slatwall display areas are the domain of the Library. Information on local events will take priority over non-District activities. Items may be posted for no-charge events or activities of tax-supported and/or not-for-profit governmental, social, educational, arts and service organizations; for activities whose proceeds go to charity; and for theatrical and musical performances and art exhibits. Items will be posted for a period not to exceed four weeks.
- Business, job postings or personal notices, political campaign materials, announcements of garage sales, rooms for rent, want ads and other similar items are not considered appropriate to the above guidelines and will not be posted.
- Flyers, brochures, pamphlets, posters, 3D objects and other items accepted for placing in Library space must meet the same criteria as set forth in Paragraphs 1 and 2.
- The Library assumes no responsibility for the safety of any items placed and assumes no responsibility for loss, damage or destruction of items left for display. Items on display in the Library are provided the same security as the Library collection and equipment. Irreplaceable items or items of great value should not be displayed. Insurance covering the value of the item will be the responsibility of the owner. Prior to the display, the owner will complete a “Waiver and Release of Liability”. The owner acknowledges that no bailment is intended by this policy.
